I have been trying to establish the parentage of Lucas de Mombers / Lucas Momboirs of Boxtel, father of Jan, Aert/Arnold and Machteld.
In the local Boxtel schepen protocols, he is already wijlen from 1469. A Gerits patronymic already looked likely because of Meeus Gerits de Momboir.
The same family also appears in the ’s-Hertogenbosch protocols (BP), which routinely include Boxtel persons and holdings. Those earlier BP entries name Lucas explicitly as a son of Gerit.
Corrections and additions welcome.

That Mulsel farm is the 1424 holding. The 1474 children match Boxtel (widow Geertruijt van Drongelen and the children of Bartholomeus Momboirs). Heyman = Herman.

So the man called wijlen Lucas Momboirs in the Boxtel bank is the Lucas Gerit Mombers who was still a minor at Boxtel/Mulsel on 22 January 1424. The 1481 neef is then a first cousin: Aert son of Lucas Gerits, Meeus son of Meeus Gerits.
4. Still open
* further identification of Eva’s father, Gerit, rentmeester of Boxtel.
*any extra child of Lucas besides Jan, Aert and Machteld.
* identification of the wife of Lucas Gerit Mombers.
If anyone has pre-1424 BP entries or Boxtel cijns/rentmeester material for Gerit die Momber, I would be grateful.
Regards,
Steve Barnhoorn
