Johannes de Beke (Casselboek 1312) and Bartholomeus dictus Meus van Beke — a question

Hello everyone,

I am trying to read four leenboek entries next to two Bosch protocols and would rather have the identifications tested than assumed. This is a question, not a finished line.

Printed text:
L. Galesloot, Le livre des feudataires de Jean III, duc de Brabant, p. 123

archive.org/details/lelivredefeudata00brab/page/122/mode/2up

Casselboek (vetus liber), 1312
BHIC 1107, inv. 542, fol. I-15 (scan 31)
proxy.archieven.nl/235/614735564ECF4138A3AF786AC9F5D433

Johannes de Beke, XX libras de terra annuatim apud Beke juxta Helmont.

Note in the Casselboek: nescio si est Johannes de Vlierden (possibly Ten Hanecker under Vlierden). I do not know whether that doubt should keep two men apart.

Latijnsboek
BHIC 1107, Raad en Leenhof van Brabant, inv. 1, fol. 50v (scan 120)
proxy.archieven.nl/235/3F4847B34153464299F5AF7F6094A4E5

Same entry, copied and alphabetised.

1340 cijnsboek, Helvoirt fol. 107v no. 280
de weduwe van Joannes van Beke, 3 bunder formerly of Theodoricus Scolmont, 3 nieuwe schellingen. Helvoirt cijns, not the heading Beke juxta Helmont. I only ask whether it can be the same Johannes.

Stootboek
BHIC 1107, inv. 2, fol. 51v (scan 119)
proxy.archieven.nl/235/3F4847B34153464299F5AF7F6094A4E5

Bertelmeeus Jhans sone was van Beke. Sine goed gheelleke ligghende te Beke met woeninghen, land, beemden, visserien ende met allen sinen toebehoirten ten Brabantscen rechte.

Later margin: Johes filius before that line.

Is this Bartholomeus the son of the 1312 Johannes, or only a man with the same patronymic?

Spechtboek (novus liber)
BHIC 1107, inv. 4, fol. 187 (scan 380)
proxy.archieven.nl/235/F405786F05964636A5CFD024248FC396

Jan zoen Bartholomeus Jans zoen van Beke: I goit liggende te Beke bi Sente Oeden Rode met woeningen, lande, beemde, visscherien ende mit allen anderen toebehoirten ten Brabantsschen recht.

Above the entry: lysbet meeus dochter de Beke sijn suster.

BP 1176 (oud 3) fol. 99v, 31 Jan 1380:

Lucas z.w. Bartholomeus gnd. Meus van Beke sells to Gheerlacus van Erpe the goods from his father, the expectant share after his mother Bela, and the goods of his uncle heer Arnoldus Vrien, dean of Sint-Oedenrode. Letter to mr. Johannes van Beke or Gheerlacus.

BP 1178 (oud 5) fol. 122v, c. 22 Oct 1389:

Erfdeling among: mr. Johannes van Beke; his brother Lucas; Gerardus nat. son of heer Gerardus van Bucstel, husband of Elizabeth; Johannes Zoeteric, husband of Hadewigis, daughter of the same Bartholomeus.

Scan 135 (left side):

What I am asking, not asserting:

1. May Bartholomeus dictus Meus (Stootboek; father in 1380/1389) be read as son of Johannes de Beke of 1312?

2. Is Spechtboek “lysbet meeus dochter … sijn suster” the same Elizabeth as in BP 1178?

Happy to be corrected on the shelfmarks or on the reading of the margin.

Thank you,

Steve Barnhoorn
